When you access this website, technically necessary connection data is processed, in particular IP address, time, requested address, volume of data transferred, referrer and details of the browser used. This processing serves the secure and stable operation of the website and the prevention of attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. The connection to the website is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).

When you visit the public website we set no cookies and store no data in your browser. We embed no external fonts, maps, videos, social media plug-ins or advertising services; all content, including the 3D viewer, is loaded from our own server. A consent banner is therefore not required. If the technical setup changes, we will update this policy and add any consent solution that is required.

Exceptions apply only to signed-in users of the protected areas (section 7).

To understand which content is helpful, we compile our own anonymous visitor statistics on our server at IONOS. No cookies are set, no data is transferred to third parties and no external services are used.

We record the page accessed, the domain of the referring website, campaign parameters in the address (utm parameters), device type, browser and operating system in broad categories, the preferred language, the time spent on the page as well as clicks on phone numbers, email addresses and downloads and enquiries that have been sent. Your IP address is not stored: together with a random value that is generated daily and then deleted, it is turned into an irreversible identifier so that several visits on the same day are not counted as new visitors. Recognition across several days is therefore not possible.

The evaluation is only visible to authorised people in the administration area. The statistical data is deleted after 13 months. If your browser sends a “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal, we do not record your visits. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing the website to meet users' needs, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can reach us by email, by phone and through the enquiry forms on the contact page, in the LED savings calculator and the product finder. When you contact us, we process your details in order to handle your request and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries.

Your details are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for processing. Where messages qualify as commercial letters, we retain them for the statutory retention period (for example six years under section 257 of the German Commercial Code).

In addition to the email, enquiries from these forms are saved in a protected area of our server. This serves solely to ensure that no enquiry is lost if email delivery fails. That area lies outside the public web directory and can only be viewed by authorised staff in the administration area, where enquiries can also be deleted again.

Entries and calculations in the online planner, the energy comparison, the LED savings calculator and the product finder initially take place locally in your browser. In the online planner and the energy comparison, an enquiry opens your email program with a prepared message; we only receive the details once you send it yourself.

If you actively send an enquiry from the LED savings calculator, your contact and project details together with the related calculator values are transmitted in encrypted form to our enquiry endpoint on trialed.de and forwarded to TRiALED by email. The enquiry is also saved in a protected area of our server so that it is not lost if email delivery fails; no further analysis or combination into profiles takes place. To prevent abusive and duplicate enquiries, security tokens and access identifiers hashed with a secret key are processed and deleted after 24 hours at the latest. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

If you actively send an enquiry from the product finder, your contact details, your message, your answers and the recommendation shown are transmitted to our enquiry endpoint in the same way and forwarded to TRiALED by email. A name and either an email address or a phone number are required so that we can reply. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We treat forwarded enquiries in the same way as contact by email (section 5).

On a computer you can view luminaires as a 3D model. The model and the viewer are loaded from our server and displayed in your browser; no external services are involved.

On product pages you can view luminaires in your own room using augmented reality. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's AR Quick Look opens directly on your device. On Android devices, Google's Scene Viewer opens; the Google app retrieves the 3D model from our server and processes data under its own responsibility. The camera is used exclusively on your device; we do not receive any camera images.

For activated accounts we process the user name, a securely stored password hash, the role and the account status. In the administration area, editing activities are logged together with the account that performed them. New accounts are created by TRiALED.

Signing in uses technically necessary session cookies within the respective protected area. A session ends after 30 minutes without activity, or after eight hours at the latest. After signing in to the administration area, the website also sets a marker cookie without personal content so that the editing bar appears on the public pages and your own visits are not counted in the visitor statistics; it is deleted when you sign out. The live preview in the administration area temporarily stores unsaved entries in your browser's session storage. The legal basis is section 25(2)(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Passwords are never stored in plain text. To limit login attempts, identifiers hashed with a secret key are used and deleted after 15 minutes.

Partner files are stored outside the public website directory and are only delivered after an authorisation check. External app links lead to the respective providers; their data processing is governed by their own privacy notices.

Links to external websites, for example to our profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook, are only called up when you click them. From that moment the respective provider processes data under its own responsibility, possibly also outside the European Union. Its privacy information then applies.

Within TRiALED GmbH, the recipients of your data are the employees responsible for your request, plus IONOS as our hosting provider (section 2). We do not transfer data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. Processing by providers outside the EU can only occur if you call up external services yourself (sections 6a and 8).

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Simply contact us at info@trialed.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

Where we process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You can also object to the visitor statistics at any time by activating “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” in your browser.

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. Without contact details, however, we cannot answer enquiries. Automated decision-making including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR does not take place; the recommendations of the product finder are non-binding suggestions.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures. This privacy policy is updated whenever functions, service providers or legal requirements change.
