Good to know

Supply without civil works.

We do not carry out foundations, earthworks, cable laying, erecting the poles or installation. For that, you commission a civil engineering or electrical contractor of your choice – we supply the luminaires, poles and the lighting calculation.

If existing poles and cables are in good condition, you often only replace the luminaires. That saves foundations and civil works – often one of the biggest cost items. Floodlight masts should be structurally checked first.

Frequently asked questions

Briefly answered.

Do you also supply the poles?

Yes. We supply poles to match the luminaire and the area. Foundations, earthworks, cable laying and installation are carried out by a contractor of your choice.

Which pole light for car parks and which for sports pitches?

For car parks, access roads and paths the Series 16 street light; for sports pitches and large areas the Series 12 floodlight with 20° or 40° optics.

How high should a pole light be in a car park?

Around 4 to 10 metres is usual. The right height depends on the area size, optics, surroundings and glare control and is set in the lighting calculation.

Can I keep using existing poles?

Often yes, if poles and cables are in good condition. Floodlight masts should be structurally checked. This saves the cost of foundations and civil works.

How many lux does a car park need?

DIN EN 12464-2 states typical maintained values of 5 lx for car parks with light traffic, 10 lx for medium and 20 lx for heavy traffic. Good uniformity is just as important.
